As a provider of contracted management consulting services, our Southern
California practice continues to enjoy excellent growth across our service areas
and we are always seeking individuals with the credentials, skills, and
experiences appropriate to our portfolio of engagements. Of course, given the
contractual nature of our work, a candidate’s short and long term availability
is also a consideration.
Our consultants must have a working knowledge of functional business processes,
internal control risk management, and evaluation of business process risks. They
must also have excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive
working relationships with clients.

Below are the general qualifications typically held by successful candidates.

5-7 Years
professional service or consulting experience with a background in public
accounting, information systems, financial/operational/IT audit, contract
administration, or business process improvement.

Proven track
record in revenue generating functions of $500k + (presentations, proposals,
add on business and/or business development).

Demonstrated
integrity within a professional environment.
-
Experience
directing, supervising, and reviewing work of others.

Professional
certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CDP, CPM, and/or other
technical certifications (MSCE, CCNA, etc)

Minimum of
4-year degree (BA/BS) required - prefer business, accounting, or computer
related.

Confidence &
demonstrated ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.

Professional
demeanor.
SPECIFIC SERVICE AREA QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to those listed above)
Customer Satisfaction/Business Process Improvement
– 3 years experience with surveys, satisfaction measurement, statistical
modeling/analysis, project management, and process engineering. Excellent
presentation, writing, team, and coaching skills are required.
Internal Audit Services – 3 years Internal
Auditing in the financial, operational, or information systems/technology areas.
Full understanding of the audit process and how it fits with business
objectives. Working familiarity with one or more professional frameworks (COSO,
COBIT, etc). Working familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/R3, Peoplesoft).
Interim management – 10 years Internal Audit
management including directing progress of fieldwork and managing/assessing
staff performance. Graduate degree (MBA, MPA, or related). Good coaching skills,
ability to work with, and inspire the confidence of, executive management.
Conflict resolution skills. Experience with audit planning, risk assessment and
scheduling.
Temporary/Interim Staffing – 3 years Internal
Auditing in the financial, operational, or information systems/technology areas.
Full understanding of the audit process and how it fits with business
objectives. Adaptable to various corporate cultures.
Contract Monitoring – 3 years experience in
contracts administration, performance measuring/monitoring, quality assurance,
internal auditing, or process analysis. This can typically be done on a
part-time basis so full-time availability is not required. Local travel required
and you must provide your own insured transportation.
